Marco was born in Germany and has been living in Thailand since 1982. He moved from Germany at the age of 7 with his father who opened a German Restaurant in Patong Beach, Phuket.
Marco came in touch with the sound of the early 1980s artists like Billy Idol, Tina Turner, Pet Shop Boys, and Eddy Grant. Music was always a part and passion of his life.
His first taste of dance music happened when his father took him to Soi Cowboy, a famous red light district in Bangkok. He saw girls dancing on stage to music that was being played by a man behind a booth on two tape decks. He asked his father what the man was doing and he replied he was the DJ. After watching for hours Marco then decided that he wanted to be a DJ. The next month, he decided to meet the DJ and asked to have a go on the decks. The first track he played was Run DMC - Walk this way, and the crowd went wild to the beat. Marco's DJ career was born.
In 1992 Marco won the Thailand Dance Competition in Siam Centre with his friend Tok Supakorn (now a famous Movie Star). They were called "2 Hot 2 Cool" and were the first hip hop dance crew in Thailand. After this big success they did performances for both music videos and live shows.
By 1995, Marco formed the first Hip Hop group in Thailand called "T.K.O" and he was the front rapper. They toured from club to club in Bangkok, often performing three shows per night. After a year he left the band and took a one year break.
In 1997, Marco formed his second band called "F.B.I" with six others, each specialising in a different musical genre: Hip Hop, Rock, Pop, R&B, House and Techno. They toured in the clubs six days per week, three shows per night for a year. They then came in contact with the manager of EMI (Thailand), and produced their first album. It consisted of six diferent music styles. Marco produced and composed three of the tracks by himself for the album.
Marco later left the band and quit the Hip Hop music scene when violence grew in the scene.
In 1999 Marco returned to Germany and stayed for 3 years, where his taste developed for electronic dance music, particulary House, Techno, and Trance. His passion for music pulled him back into DJing, playing in small night clubs and small music festivals like the Raincarnaition in Hannover (his home town). Marco then moved back to Thailand, with new perspectives and ideas for the future.
Between 2001 and 2006, Marco built a booking & event agency with a friend in Thailand. They brought and performed with big name DJ's and producers like Marc Van Linden, DJ Shah, Pedro Del Mar, Shaun Baker, Clan DJ Team, and Voodoo & Serrano. They played at top night clubs and full-moon parties in Thailand, as well as night clubs in Germany, USA, Poland, and Japan.
Between 2006 and 2007, Marco was asked by a friend to run a nightclub called "Time Out" with him in R.C.A, a popular nightclub area in Bangkok. Marco was responsible for the music policy, event management and managing the resident DJs. He brought and played beside DJ's like The Disco Boys, Eddie Thoneick, Oliver Moldan, Jonny Kelvin, Patric La Funk.
In 2007 the famous Buddy Group asked him to manage "The Club" in Khaosan Road (a popular tourist area in Bangkok), into which he put all his energy, soul, and experience that he had gained over his entire life. With his passion for music and vision for the future of electronic dance music, he was the perfect leader, growing The Club into a big success in just 8 months. Up to now The Club remains one of the liveliest dance nightclubs in Thailand.
